There ought to be clowns!!!

I found this clown pattern (Pierrot, the clown) on Ravelry. It looked like a great way to use up small yarn scraps, the donated unknown fiber yarns. and the really scratchy yarns.

Materials:
Associated scrap yarns
Round elastic
4 shank buttons 1 1/4"
Tapestry Needle
Stuffing
Project utility belt

I change the pattern a little.  For the body circles,
ch 6, ss, ch 3, 23 dc in ring, ss into top of beginning ch 3 and end.

I need 52 body circles.  So I will be making circles between other projects.  I made 26 white with 4 using Magic Loop  to start instead of ch 6.  These will be the last circle for the arms and legs, placed just before the buttons.

This is what I have so far. All the circles, the head and the hat are made.
I need to weave in the ends.

I did go back to the pattern for the assembly instructions.

Before I sew on the face and attach the hat, I want to crazy glue the elastic knots. Then I can tighten the magic loop around the button shank and weave in the ends.

The clown is finished and on my dresser with Mikey the Sock Monkey.
